Many websites are great resources for a wealth of material that you can add to the topics covered in the FCH Lessons. It is always helpful to expand on the lessons, try additional recipes or sewing activities, and provide additional practice until a skill is truly mastered.

Cooking
All Recipes - An extensive site with meal ideas and many recipes including healthy cooking, slow cooker, kid-friendly, holiday recipes, etc. Check out the how-to videos; they have one on Banana Bread that would go well with FCH Chapter 3 on Quick Breads.

The Grains of Truth Fact Sheets are espeically helpful with information on bread machines, wheat nutrition, vegetarian diets, muffins, bagels and all types of baked goods and ingredients.

Bunkhouse Sewing - Terrific sewing books for all ages and skill levels - for boys and girls, very young and old. I highly recommend JoAnn Gagnon's books if you want a sewing curriculum, or just want some gifts to sew, doll clothes patterns, or want to learn heirloom sewing. Be sure to watch her Instructional Slide Shows, and go to her "Where to Begin" section for answers to many of your questions about sewing machines, supplies, fabric, etc.
